We are fortunate to have some wonderful Siberians visiting us for the winter season of 2008/2009. Our friends Mike and Sue Ellis are in Alaska training for their second run in the Yukon Quest. Six of their dogs would not have made their race team this winter and they decided to let them spend the winter with us here at Peace Pups. It will allow the dogs to get in plenty of running and meet a lot of great people. A big welcome to Squiggle, Kobuk, Maple, Hawkeye, Wyatt and Birch! Mike set a course record in the Yukon Quest last winter for the fastest Siberian Husky team in the history of the race; pretty awesome accomplishemt for a rookie!
