Latest updates:

Even though this summer in Vermont has been wetter and cooler than average many of the days in July and August are still a little too warm for running full teams with our carts. Our rule of thumb is 60 degrees or less to run with carts. We do have mornings when it is below 60 but it generally climbs to 70 pretty early in the day. I often use July and August as time to work on projects around our place and get ready for winter. Most years we are able to begin running with carts by the beginning of September when the temperatures are already beginning to drop here in the Green Mountains.

If you are age 14 and over we do run with our dog scooters at slightly warmer temperatures. With one dog per scooter they do not have to pull as hard and there is less danger of over heating. We continue to offer scooter lessons during the summer.

If you are planning a visit to Vermont this fall come on by for a cart ride or scooter run and meet the dogs! We are always here for afternoon play time in the dog yard and visitors are always welcome. Please call ahead so we will be sure to be here when you arrive.
A sled dog outing with Peace Pups is sure to be a adventure you will remember for a life time!
